Fourth single and video "New Girl" from The Melancholy Kings' sophomore album is out

New Jersey band The Melancholy Kings present their latest single and video ‘New Girl’, an acoustic-driven ode to a film noir ingenue immortalized on celluloid.

This is the fourth single from their second album 'Her Favorite Disguise', which was released digitally and on vinyl on November 28 last year via Magic Door Record Label.

The song features delicate singing and acoustic guitar playing by Mike Potenza, sparse drums by Paul Andrew, atmospheric textures from both Peter Horvath on electric guitar and Scott Selig bowing harmonics on upright bass, as well as guest cellist Carolyn Jeselsohn.

The video was created by Scott Selig, who manipulated footage to create a slowly shape-shifting abstraction of film noir ambiance.

As of April 3, the video for 'New Girl' is viewable on YouTube. The 'Her Favorite Disguise' album is available on all major streaming platforms (including Spotify, Apple Music, etc.) and can be purchased digitally and on limited edition vinyl on Bandcamp.
